Meet Lauren Shapiro, Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Lauren Shapiro is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and also provides mind-body coaching. She received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Dr. Shapiro has experience in a variety of settings, including hospitals, community mental health centers, outpatient clinics, medical clinics, and schools. She has extensive experience providing integrated care in a medical setting. Her clinical experience working with clients spans the lifecycle, with specialized training in treating chronic pain, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, stress management, relationship challenges, and adjustment difficulties. Dr. Shapiro has completed her certification training in Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT).

Dr. Shapiro provides a comprehensive and flexible approach when working with her clients that targets their presenting issues, while utilizing personal and systemic strengths. Treatment modalities may include evidence-based treatments from the cognitive-behavioral school of thought and Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT) as well as supportive therapies. Dr. Shapiro works collaboratively with other professionals to provide the highest level of care possible. Dr. Shapiro is a member of the American Psychological Association and the Illinois Psychological Association.
